Kanye West & Jay Z – HAM

Posted: January 11, 2011 in Uncategorized

When news broke out last year that Kanye and Jay Z would collaborate to work on an album, every ear stood up. Jay Z hadn’t done anything of the sort since the break down in relations with the pied piper R.kelly during  the best of both worlds tour in 2004. Coincidentally, it’s the collaboration of Jay Z and another of Chi- town’s finest( maybe Jay has something for the city).

Last week, Kanye twitted that the release of the first single titled “HAM”would hit the air waves on 11/1/11.. Today!

Produced by Lex Luger, HAM is the first single from Watch the Throne, Kanye and Jay’s collaborative album, which is reportedly set for a March 1 release on Def Jam.

The album cover art  featuring the symmetrical graphics of crowns, mandibles, and raging Rottweilers present an interesting insight on the return of intrigue album art. Whereas West had famous contemporary artist George Condo create the cover art for My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy, he had Riccardo Tisci, the creative director for fashion house Givenchy, design the cover for H.A.M.
